  • Must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment;
  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act; and
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with BC legislation and regulations.



As Assistant, Community Giving, you will perform a wide range of administrative duties as part of the Marketing and Communications team. You will report to the Director, Marketing and work closely with the marketing team, as well as liaise with all RHF staff as required.



  • Helps to project manage communications projects for prospective and existing community donors via various communications channels, i.e. direct mail, email, digital, external advertisements, collateral etc. This includes writing briefs, developing and overseeing workback schedules, managing budgets from external partners (mail house, printers etc.), content input and approvals, and evaluating results/ROI;
  • Assists in the implementation and execution of public facing fundraising campaigns in partnership with RHF pro-bono advertising agency;
  • Helps to find donor profile stories;
  • Works with Marcom team to:
    • develop social media strategies and content to engage donors
    • execute email marketing communications
  • Helps to segment community donor data for strategic planning purposes;
  • Assist with pulling donor data for direct mailings;
  • Helps to code and enter donations within the Foundation’s CRM system SalesForce;
  • Helps to issue and mail donation tax receipts;
  • Assists with monthly reconciliation reports for the Finance department;
  • Helps to maintain accurate community donor information; and
  • Performs other marketing and fundraising duties as assigned.



  • High degree of professionalism and strict adherence to maintaining confidentiality and privacy;
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and excellent attention to detail; and
  • Computer experience with MS Office.
