JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Coordinator, Accessibility Certification serves as the main point of contact for the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC) program’s administration, delivery and partnerships with internal and external partners. In addition, this position streamlines the day-to-day processes within the RHFAC team, including the efficient delivery of projects.

 

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS                            

The Sr. Coordinator reports to the Director, Accessibility Certification and supervises part-time administrative staff and interns.

 

This position works closely with the RHFAC and Marketing & Communications (MarCom) teams and collaborates with RHF staff and consultants. The Sr. Coordinator also regularly communicates and works with external parties including, but not limited the, Canadian Standards Association (CSA), colleges and universities that provide RHFAC training and the ON Government.

 

ALL STAFF: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As an integral member of the RHF team and as expected of all staff, this position actively participates with:

    • Contributes in regular sessions, develops goals, supports and implements action plans.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides support and relationship management for Includes:
    • addressing and answering inquiries and client questions;
    • handling referrals; and
    • encouraging movement of inquiries into RHFAC ratings.
  • Serves as the RHFAC liaison with Ministry of Seniors and Accessibility (Province of Ontario) for the Ontario complimentary rating program. Includes:
    • preparing and presenting reports on program status and updates; and
    • working closely with CSA to ensure timely registration for the Ontario Program;
  • Works closely with Director, Accessibility Certification to support the Accessibility Professional Network (APN), APN Conference and monthly webinars;
  • Works closely with CSA to ensure timely processing, issue resolution and continuous improvement to the RHFAC Registry.
  • Responsible for RHFAC training course including;
    • serving as a liaison with academic institutions and instructors;
    • handling MOU process; and
    • managing course scheduling, tracking, feedback, and scholarships.
  • Works closely with MarCom on:
    • developing branded materials and resources, and presentations for public speaking events;
    • website updates;
    • streamlining processes to create clear and functional resources, such as printed and web materials, for RHFAC, Professionals, Institutions and clients; and
    • special projects, as needed.
  • Provides support to the BC Accessibility Grants program. Includes:
    • investigating and resolving issues; and
    • serving as back-up to Coordinator, Accessibility Certification and ensures timely completion of reports and disbursement of funds.
  • Represents RHFAC on the refinement of fields, reports and data management for Salesforce data;
  • Resolves issues regarding RHFAC data in Salesforce, FluidReview and Registry; and
  • Performs other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: University degree, Diploma or Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in a relevant field.

 

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in a related field;
  • Computer experience required, including a high level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint an asset; and
  • Knowledge of issues and information relating to disabilities an asset.

  • Fluency in French, oral and written, an asset.

An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.
